I'm a Louisiana girl, so last week we packed up the family and headed down to New Orleans for Mardi Gras. We stayed with family and I managed to talk my cousin, Kathleen into modeling for me. We headed to St. Louis Cemetery Number 3, originally opened in 1854. It's the newest of the three St. Louis cemeteries, but it's in a safe neighborhood and we weren't feeling all that adventurous.
Although the sun was bright and the sky was blue, not exactly what you want for cemetery ambiance, we still got some great shots. Kathleen was a fantastic model and knew exactly what to do.

In future visits, we've sworn to search out the family tomb in St. Louis Cemetery Number 1. This is not it, but I'm willing to bet we're related! I'm pretty sure I'm related to just about every Hymel and Himel in the state of Louisiana.
